Who is Midwinter?

Midwinter is a collection of like-minded individuals set on exploring endgame content in World of Warcraft. We try our best to combine very high standards of play with a pleasant raid environment and a guild structure that allows our players to successfully maintain their commitment to the game while having other things in their lives. Make no mistake, we're dedicated to what we do, and everyone that comes to a raid with us should be prepared to put effort into doing well. Despite that, we also realize that things happen in people's lives: loved ones die, jobs require overtime to be put in, and people burn out. We work hard to create a hardcore guild environment in which people can raid endgame content and also go out and see the sun every once in a while.

What does Midwinter do?

Put simply, we raid. Our raid times are 10 p.m - 2 a.m. server time (EST), Sunday - Thursday. During the week new content is released we will sometimes add extra hours, like an early start or weekend raiding. These are discussed openly with the guild and we only schedule them if the vast majority of guild members want to put in that extra time. When we do have a raid scheduled, we expect people to be there, on time and ready to raid, providing circumstances like those mentioned above don't occur. Guild activity does not end after raid time, and you'll find that Midwinter is a pretty active place full on off days, full of people doing things like alt 10 mans and sale runs, PvP, playing other games together or just general bullshitting.

What's different about Midwinter?

We offer a strong playing group and a fairly relaxed raid environment. Encounters get harder and patience wears thin, but we try to keep levity in our raids. We aim for the lowest possible turnover by creating an environment and a community that people enjoy. Accordingly, we're pretty picky about who we recruit, and if the recruits don't fit personality-wise they don't last long here, regardless of class or skill.
