Tell us about your last guild(s) and the history with why are you choosing us over them:

Well, I've always played on Turalyon. I've been here since I created my mage in Mid-BC. When I hit 70 I joined a guild called Rampage and raided casually I did manage to do BT and Sunwell(to Muru)pre-nerf. When WoTLK hit many players had quit, shortly after I joined a guild called <Just Wipe It> we were #2 Alliance guild behind Might on the server, and I raided with them for almost a year. We were the only guild to achieve ToGC 25 besides Might on alliance, 3 weeks after them though. Early in ICC around March JWI lost some of their core members and the guild fell apart. I wanted to play with the best of the best, and I often ran alt run's with Might and knew quite a few members in the guild, so I was just hoping for a shot at raiding in a top 10 us guild not expecting to get in, I applied to Might and got accepted, 3 weeks later I made raider status. I considered myself very fortuante. But now, 5 Months later Might has decided to give up on raiding, they told us tonight we are finished and split the guild bank between all of us raiders, and now I'm on my search to find a new long-term home, and hopefully It will be here with Midwinter.

Tell us how you play your class, and how it makes you stand apart from others:
Where to start. I feel very confident with all specs a mage has to offer, including PvP.
Right now Fire over takes Arcane in single target DPS, by quite a signifiant amount. I've been gearing towards fire since the changes made in 3.3.3. Fire Rotation Priority is :
Living Bomb > Hot Streak Proc > Scorch (assuming there is no lock with improved shadow bolt) > Fireball. Priority can changes depending on 2pc T10, you want to keep the Pushing the Limit buff up as much as possible, so at times Hot streak can over take Living Bomb in spell priority.
While moving use fireblast if you don't have a Instant Pyroblast or need to refresh living bomb.
Keep living bomb on your target at all times, refresh it as soon as it falls off. Use your instant pyroblast as soon as possible (DO NOT stop your current cast to use it), Maintain scorch, and fireball when you can't do any of the above.
Do not living bomb anything that will die in less than 12 seconds, If your living bomb doesn't have time to explode it's a waste of a global cooldown to apply it.
If your nearing the end of a fight and know that your last fireball won't hit the boss before it dies, throw in a fireblast or scorch, those spells instantaneously do damage.
Fire AoE : Living bomb all mobs, then use Flamestrike rank 9 + Flamestrike rank 8 (the dots from the seperate ranks stack), then blizzard, and again only use living bomb if the mob will live long enough for it to explode.

I have also played arcane for quite some time and I find that the playstyle is rather fun.
Standard rotation is Arcane Blast x4 --> Missile Barrage on Proc, if no proc occurs keep casting Arcane Blast if mana is not an issue, If mana is an issue clear your stacks with unhasted Arcane Missiles, or you can switch to Arcane Blast x3 --> Missile Barrage for a slight DPS loss if mana is tight. I always use my mana gem pretty early into the fight, and evo at 40% mana, I only evocate if I know I'm going to have to during the coarse of the encounter. Stacking cooldowns properly is probably one the most imporant factors in playing arcane, you never want to go below the GCD. If heroism is blown at the beginning of a fight I use Mirror Image + Arcane Power + Black Magic if it procs. If a fight is began without Heroism I use Mirror Image + Icy Veins + Arcane Power + Engineering Haste Gloves + Black Magic Proc hopefully. I use arcane power on CD since the CD is very short, and usually save my second Mirror Image until heroism, if the fight last that long for 2 rounds of Mirror Image. Arcane's weakness is definately anytime you have to move, we have Arcane Barrage and fireblast, and Arcane's lack of DoT abilities and ability to maintain your max DPS rotation on the move makes it horrible on many encounters in ICC.

I PvP quite a bit as frost and one of my short term goals is to finish up Arena Master. I know PvP has little to do with my app, but it's what I love to do in my spare time.

As far as gearing goes with the different specs, Crit is king for fire and Haste/SP for Arcane. When I'm arcane I use Normal DFO in place of Phylactery, and use Heroic Muardins, We've had horrible trinket luck in Might.

Something to note: I'm a huge min/maxer and BiS has recently changed with Ruby Sanctumn coming out so my I'm trying to gear around that now. So I will end up needing 2 more Heroic Vanq token's instead of 1 because we now want the Chest as off-piece =(. Other than that the majority of my gear is pretty solid, I have 3 ilvl 264 pieces left, and I have a lot of stuff that is 2nd or 3rd BiS.

My name is Cecelia(and I hate my name its horrendous!), I'm 22 and in college for Nursing, but i'm off for the summer =D. In about 4 semester's I will be a registered Nurse assuming I pass the state board test. I work part time cleaning doctor's offices, and let me say it is the easiest and most boring job ever. I live in Michigan a few minutes away from Lake Michigan and I can't complain, sunsets are amazing and so are thunderstorms! As for gaming: About 2 years ago my ex-boyfriend got me hooked on WoW, and I'm so glad he did, I wasn't your typical gamer chick you could say. I've made so many friends and I absolutely love playing my mage. I'm very loyal to my guilds and I try my hardest to be the best mage I can be, I don't like being second best. I feel that if Midwinter accepted me I would give my 110% every raid and would prove how much I want to be there.

On a semi-serious note, you say you were w/JWI for a while...we had Grove + ...idk, girl Grove here for a trial during ToC, they did good in JWI but when they got here they didn't make it past the trial phase. Granted, you've passed <Might>'s trial so I assume from that you'd prob do fine here. I'll wait for Lyr/Jarink to toss mage-specific questions at you. Yeah I used to raid with Grove for a brief period until he came here. JWI was not an amazing guild, nor did it have very many good players, but we all start somewhere, right?. I was the first person Might ever recruited from Turalyon, and I was very fortuante to say the least. I've known Lyriana for quite some time. I remember one night I tried to get into a queue with you guys on a BG Friday night and was tons of fun =D. And Lyriana/Jarink feel free to toss out mage questions =)

With RS gear dropping hit off bracers and using ring of rapid ascent + blood queen neck yields about 95 dps gain over keeping t10 chest. Chest off Valithria would be best but I do indeed already have the 277 chest, and could make a different BiS with a slight DPS loss.
