Do you have an authenticator?
Yes, I use the mobile authenticator for my iPhone 3G
Tell us about your last guild(s) and the history with why are you choosing us over them:
I was in Juggernaut on Mal'Ganis for a DPS trial to their guild from May 20 - July 9. Here is the PM I was given afterwards for the full reasoning to explain it easier.
There was no single glaring issue. We thought you were doing an acceptable level of dps and you seem like a nice enough guy. Outside of your dps, we felt like you were making more mistakes than we were comfortable with. I have deaths listed for you to a Shadow Trap and several to Cutter on Halion. You were doing a lot better at socializing and giving us an opportunity to evaluate you at the end of your trial period, yet missing raids during your trial period is bad, even if posted on the calendar.
Now for my explaination, the deaths occurred during my learning period. My first time in any heroic LK fight was with them in 25 man and I had only seen the fight in video before that, I died to one Shadow Trap during my trial. The Halion cutter deaths were in 10H was also my first step into that encounter. I had only seen the wipe and kill streams/videos of the 25H encounter while they raided. The only aspect that was not answered to me when asked was the usage of Freedom on players with the debuffs. My deaths occured phase 3 when the paladin was sent top side an I was slowed by the portals. I later figured out that by using AMS BEFORE I am dispelled I will not be slowed and that fixed my errors for that night. As for missing raids during my trial, I had to work a week of overnight shifts one week for remodeling of the store. I placed that I would be at work Monday night to Wednesday night but was added a day Thursday night and that was not on the calendar which is what was held against me. This is after a months worth of raiding with 100% attendance.
Before Juggernaut I was in Conviction on Korgath. My name on Korgath was Leeroye an I was in Conviction from Oct 15, 2009 to May 20, 2010. I loved my time here from beginning till the end, it felt like my second home. We raided, we did well at times and not so well at others but it didn't deter us from trying until ICC was released. It seems like when ICC came out the raid leader and guild leader became burned out over time. It began to effect the guild in a whole and left some raiders out in the dust. Some old time raiders quit the game, others left for different reasons, but instead of listening to your raiders on what we could have done for people they decided to just let all of our casuals begin to raid. The casuals began to make things worse as most of them were not aware, skilled, nor social enough to improve. Later it became apparent that we were mainly there to gear up real life friends of the raid leaders and carry the rest. After raiders expressed a concern about this we were told that it was all under control and to just raid. Well nothing improved and the guild leader gave thoughts of disbanding, so I decided to leave before a disaster happened like in a previous guild.
Before Conviction I was actually on Ysera in Rochambeau World Champs, the first REAL home I was ever in. I thought I would be in this guild for the rest of my WoW career. I was in this guild on my shaman, Tamaye, at the time as elemental. All of my personal friends were here with me, we raided, we had fun, we did random things, everything was going great until the best night we had in Ulduar after it's release led to the next day guild break up. Apparently the raid leader decided that RWC wasn't doing good enough and basically behind the GM's back, which is his real life friend, took guild members to make another guild, the name was Mermeros. Well me getting home from work to happen upon all this one day led to my friends and I leaving for Korgath. I joined my big brothers casual guild for awhile with my DK before seriously raiding again with Conviction on my DK.
Tell us how you play your class, and how it makes you stand apart from others:
Well I feel I do very well when plating my class in all aspects. I dps as much as my gear, skill, and survivability will let me. I've dps'd all fights now and only tanked certain ones I've been able/allowed to do so. I keep up to date on changes to my class an all improvements that need to be made. I keep my flask, food, and pot consumables with me for everything and I try to have drums on hand for 10 mans. I keep all my gear on me at all times so that I can be ready for any needed spec changes. This includes Unholy DPS, Frost DPS, Tank, and even PVP gear (which is slacking). I like to pvp but I haven't had an arena partner since most of my friends don't play anymore. I would love to get back into it at some point and begin to do arenas again.
What do you have bound to your 1-5 keys?
Alright to be fair I'm not a typical 1-5 player. I use Q, E, and F for my main keys with 1-4 being the additions. That being said I'll list all of those for more clarity.
Q - Plague Strike
E - Icy Touch
F - Blood Strike
1- Gargoyle
2- Scourge Strike
3- Death Coil
4- Pestilence
5- Leap (Pet)
Tell us about yourself. Show us the man/woman behind the character. And impress us, make us laugh. Convince us we want you in our guild. If you don't take the time to sell yourself, there's no reason for us to want to take you. We've worked hard to make this a great place to raid and demand incoming candidates prove they're committed to continuing that.
My name is Vernon and I'm 30 living in Macon, Georgia. I am currently employed with Academy Sports & Outdoors as a Receiving Supervisor. I work a very early morning shift which is from 4am - 1pm on Sunday - Thursday. This is my reasoning for leaving right when raids are called as I try to take a nap or so before getting ready for work. After work I'm usually on for 1-3 hours before I lay down before raid times. I would hope this doesn't go against me like it did with Juggernaut because I'm not a "raid logger" I just have a tight schedule until the weekend. Also I'm usually on my alts which are still on Korgath until I do find that new home I'm looking for. I am an avid football and tennis fan but I do love all sports. I'm not that big on basketball though in the sports world but I will forever cheer for the home team. I'm an avid movie goer so my Friday afternoons are usually spent at a theater. I love anime and try to watch as much as possible, my favorite at the moment is One Piece. Also I'm the typical electronics/pc geek so I do play other games ranging from FPS to RPG's and those range on all platforms at times with the PC being the primary. I own a Wii, Xbox360, and a PS3 which my 2 little brothers have began to play more than I do when they come over on the weekends.
Lastly thanks for the opportunity and I hope to hear something soon.
