Here’s a few from June with a 25% IC buff. I am not linking any from my most recent guild, as they were basically casual. I will explain in further detail.

Do you have an authenticator? Yarp.

Tell us about your last guild(s) and the history with why are you choosing us over them:

Cleave Edge on Perenolde – I loved this guild. Amazing people, and I am still friends with a lot of them and play other online games with them. We were server first on Perenolde for pretty much everything. The guild sort of fell apart due to burnout though, which only got worse when we got to heroic LK and realized we weren’t going to kill it with 22 people lol

Demise on Burning Blade – Didn’t love this guild. These guys were good raiders, I think around us 50-60 range. The issue I had with them was that they were horrible people. They were rude, mean, and just made it a point to crap all over the new guys regardless of the situation. Say something in vent to try to relate to a conversation? You are met with awkward silence or completely ignored. Make a mistake? Yelled at by 4-5 different people over vent only to see another of their raiders make the same mistake and have nothing happen to them. Maybe it was one of those “can you take it” type of tests, but in a video game that is completely unnecessary.

I went to Reign on Lothar after that because my girlfriend was raiding there. 2 Days after I show up, their raid leader quits because he doesn’t get along with the other officers. I then come to find out that they actually don’t employ any strategies for their encounters, they just kind of “wing it”, which is why I could come in first place on almost any fight in there with 13k dps. 8 -10 minutes to kill deathwhisper. They got the achievement for Sindragosa by letting ice blocked people die and never breaking them out. Just weirdly inefficient things like that.

Tell us how you play your class, and how it makes you stand apart from others:

I love hunters. It’s the only class I like in WoW enough to stick with it for 5+ years. I learned early on how to kite, how to multitask with my pet, how to do pretty much everything better than other hunters. Sure, there are some that are up to my skills and some that are past them, but not many. I use every ability that I can to maximize my performance. Deterrence, Disengage, trapping you name it. I suppose I should mention the obligatory “ I bring all my consumables and I bring lots and lots of speed potions and all my flasks” line, so there it is. I do all of that too.

What do you have bound to your 1-5 keys?

1- Chimera Shot
2- Feign Death
3- Arcane Shot
4- Freezing Arrow
5- Wing Clip

I REALLY didn’t realize how weird this looked when written down, so I will explain my odd button layout. I bind all my stings, aimed shot, and silencing shot to mouse buttons. Steady shot is bound to my mousewheel (LoL TBC BM spec). I adapted an easier to reach Feign Death key during Black Temple and Sunwell when I would get very close to pulling agro off of tanks. At the time I had it bound to 9 on my keypad, which just isn’t easy to get to in a hurry. Arcane shot is on 3 for when I need a shot on the move so I don’t have to stop strafing. Freezing arrow and Wing clip are from arena play, I just ended up binding them there and haven’t looked back.

Tell us about yourself. Show us the man/woman behind the character. And impress us, make us laugh. Convince us we want you in our guild. If you don't take the time to sell yourself, there's no reason for us to want to take you. We've worked hard to make this a great place to raid and demand incoming candidates prove they're committed to continuing that.

I’m an old man at 29, or at least it is beginning to feel that way ( I has creaky knees!). I was in the Navy for 8 years, working as an electrician on nuclear propulsion plants. It sucked. Bad. 20 hour days, 6 days a week at least for 6 years. So now I am in school for IT – network management/security.

I am very excited about the prospect of possibly raiding with you guys. For the longest time I have been under the impression that you couldn’t be a good progression guild while having fun, and you guys seem to be the opposite of that stigma. I would absolutely love a guild with a real sense of mutual respect while still getting work done. I truly hope my app is up to standards, and thanks for taking a look at it.

P.S. I attempted to post this app once before and it got deleted apparently, disappearing a few minutes after I posted it. If this is just a bug or something and the other one is still around, please delete this one. If not, I hope the second time is the charm for me =)

Oh no worries man. If you need to delete this one and keep the other one in private it's no big deal. Just had me weirded out that it disappeared like 30 seconds after I posted it haha

Hey, I have Wing Clip bound to 5 as well, win!

Going through your parses I have to ask how you use silencing shot. On a number of your parses you have too few silencing shots. Specifically BQL where you missed 3-4 (over a minutes worth of sitting on the CD). Blood princes was pretty abysmal too, but that may be a bit more understandable.

Your shot ratios seem fine on Saurfang, where you dpsed just the boss (basically Patchwerk), but your numbers don't really sit well with me overall. I'll address your BQL. I took a look at fight length relative to your Chimera Shot usage (similar to how I compared your SSs). Since it's not quite Patchwerk, but outside of a couple short fears, there isn't an excuse to miss Chimera Shots, I think this is a good fight to look at.
You have 24 Chimera Shots cast on BQL. You have two readiness throughout the fight which will add up to about 8s of fight time so we can subtract a Chimera Shot from your total (roughly speaking). This means that you cast 23x10s = 3:50 of fight time. BQL lasted 4:37. If we knock off about 10s for fears then you missed about 3 Chimeras over the course of the fight, and since your rotation is very favoring of steadys (4.4 steady:chimera ratio) I have to assume you botched your rotation quite a bit there. Going through some other fights, this is a recurring theme with insufficient shots relative to fight time.

TL;DR I think your DPS drops more than it should as fight movement/complexity increases. Basically, your missing key shots that you shouldn't be, and it really impacts your DPS.

To address Blood Princes : I was basically told to stand in one spot and shoot orbs and never move. The bosses were typically kept too far for me to even engage them, which was frustrating but the other players' dps more than made up for it.

I have silencing shot bound to a separate keybind and I tend to use it off of cooldown when Chimera comes back up. Looking at the logs I have made a couple of separate macros for it, binding it to 2 other shots so that it won't be an issue.

Missing shots on BQL is most likely attributed to finding a spot where I wouldn't kill people during the air phase. They had assigned spots apparently, but noone was notified of it. I am not sure if you are looking at missed shots as well, as I was draenei dependant at the time and due to the fact that they didn't really consider anything worth their trouble they didn't move groups around until LK.

I was also just nervous and uncomfortable in that guild. It takes a lot to unnerve me, and they managed to do it from the start.

If I truly am missing shots when they are off of cooldown, I really have no excuse, as you probably realize. That would be a pretty glaring deficiency and I am sure that would put me below your level of play. If so, thanks for taking a look anyway =)

It's true that I didn't take into account missed shots, as that part of the table actually is cut off on my browser, and I rarely have to worry about missed shots. In any case, the missed shots on BQL are 1 Chimera, 2 Steady and 2 auto, which don't quite make up the difference (although they close the gap). There is still the issue of overshooting steadys compared to your instants on that fight, which is probably the main reason for the discrepancies.
